K–12 Outreach

The K–12 Outreach Committee of the Northland Chapter of the Society of Toxicology has been conducting outreach to teachers and students since 1999. Outreach over the past few years has been summarized in a poster presented at the SOT 2004 Annual Meeting in Baltimore, Maryland.

As part of this outreach, the committee promotes the use of a seed bioassay that illustrates dose-response relationships. A slide show on classroom resources for toxicology concepts has also been created by the chapter and used for teacher education.
