OVSOT Annual Meeting
The Annual Meeting of the
Ohio Valley Society of Toxicology (OVSOT) is scheduled for November 12, 1999, at the
University of Louisville. The meeting will be co-sponsored by U of Ls Center
for Environmental Health Sciences. The major theme of the meeting will be genetic
susceptibility to environmental toxins.
As in past years, the
Annual Meeting will feature a concurrent poster session. All interested individuals
(students and non-students) are encouraged to present and discuss their research in
standard poster presentation fashion. Cash awards will be given to the top three
predoctoral students, as decided by a panel of three independent judges. The first
place winner will receive $300.00, second place $150.00, and third place $50.00.
Poster presentation guidelines and judging criteria are outlined on the next page.
All persons interested in
presenting a poster are asked to submit an abstract to the attention of Dr. Joseph Siglin
no later than Friday, October 22, 1999 (see next page for address). It is important
that all student abstracts are received by October 22 in order for the judges to have
adequate time to review them.
If you have any questions
concerning the poster session, please do not hesitate to contact Dr. Siglin at: phone
(419) 647-4196 or e-mail jsiglin@springborn.com
Thank you in advance for
your assistance. We look forward to seeing you at the Annual Meeting.
Yours sincerely,
