In Vitro Workshops and Symposia

Attention:

The IVAM executive committee is asking their members to submit symposium/workshop/roundtable ideas for presentation at the 2010 National Society of Toxicology Meeting in Salt Lake, Utah. We are particular interested in programs that focus on our mission to increase the use of in vitro methods for toxicological testing as well as development of alternative models to animal research. However, we are more than happy to consider any proposal of interest. We especially welcome symposia using such methods centered around any of the themes for the 2010 meeting, which are:

Cell Signaling
Gene-Environment Interactions
Metabolic Disease
Mitochondrial Basis of Disease
Toxicity Testing in the 21st Century
Translational Toxicology

To aid you in putting together a symposium we have designated a liaison, Brian S. Cummings, to answer any of your question or concerns, or even to present ideas for consideration. Please feel free to contact him via e-mail or call (706) 542-3792 with any ideas.

The deadline for symposia is April 30, so please don't delay.

IVAM needs your input regarding programs for future SOT Meetings. Sponsorship of workshops, continuing education programs, and symposia is important to advancing in vitro techniques and allow IVAM members to actively participate in IVAM and SOT Annual Meetings.

If you would like to make a suggestion, sponsor or coordinate a workshop, educational program or symposia, please feel free to contact the Program Committee Officer.
