San Diego Housing Opportunities
The Society of Toxicology has reserved and made arrangements for SOT Annual Meeting attendee discounted room rates at various San Diego hotels—known as the SOT hotel block. This block includes discounted room rates at many premier hotel chains. As of Feb 9, 2006, the SOT Housing Bureau is no longer taking reseravations. The hotels in the SOT Housing Block will be prepared to take your call after Monday, February 13, 2006, to make your reservation or for any revisions to your reservation. A kind note about calling the hotel "just to be sure":
Please do not call your hotel "to be sure" until after Monday, February
13, 2006. Please understand that processing your reservations from the
Housing Bureau into the Hotel system will take a few days. Rest assured
that if you have received a confirmation number already from the Housing
Bureau, the hotel will honor your booking. Thank you for your
consideration.
New! Room Sharing Available for SOT Annual Meeting Registrants
Did you know that your choice of hotel for the SOT Annual Meeting has direct impact on Society’s Long-Range Plan (LRP) initiatives? Although we understand that making your reservations outside of the SOT block can sometimes be more economical, it decreases the money available to the Society to carry out its long-term goals and may cause the Society to have to pay attrition fees for unutilized rooms. In addition, the Society is unable to assist you if you have any difficulties with your room reservation, such as the hotel over-booking or misplacing your reservation.
SOT depends on the Annual Meeting revenue to fund other programs throughout the year and to keep future registration fees low. Please assist the Society by making your hotel reservation through the San Diego Housing Bureau.
