Charlotte, North Carolina

Built upon the crossroads of two Native American trading paths it would seem fitting that Charlotte has grown into the second largest financial capital in the country. Once a small community of Scots-Irish descendents, Charlotte was incorporated in 1768 and named in honor of the wife of King George III, the reigning English monarch. Local citizens also honored Queen Charlotte when they amid their new county Mecklenburg after her German homeland. That’s why Charlotte is called the Queen City.

At the close of the scientific sessions each day, step out on the town to enjoy Charlotte’s vibrant spirit by having a relaxing meal, or partaking of the local music venues and dance clubs, wine and martini bars, coffeehouses and more. Named one of the “Top 50 Cities that Sizzle” by Nation’s Restaurant News Magazine, Charlotte offers a wide array of dining options including local flavor, international cuisine and upscale dinning. Charlotte’s nightlife and dining scene is also exploding with options.

SOT’s on-line job bank makes it easy for candidates and employers alike to access the Career Resource and Development Service. Registrations are continuously processed and valid for six months. Once registered, candidates may search the listing of available jobs and employers may browse candidate profiles. During the registration period, users can update their listings or search the database as often as they wish. The Career Resource and Development Center is an important part of the Annual Meeting, providing a coordinated service for information regarding career opportunities and qualified candidates.
