Annual Meeting Registration Information
Early Registration
On-line and early registration is strongly encouraged. The Annual Meeting Early Registration deadline is January
30, 2009. The registration fee for the SOT Annual Meeting includes admission to all scientific sessions, Awards Presentation, ToxExpo™, a copy of the Program, The Toxicologist on CD-ROM (abstracts), and the ToxExpo™ Directory.
Registration Materials
Register before January 30, 2009, and your badge, Program and The Toxicologist on CD-ROM will be sent to you prior to the Annual Meeting. Your 2009 Annual Meeting Registration badge must be presented to obtain access to SOT functions.
When you arrive at the Baltimore Convention Center, please go to the registration area in the Pratt Street Lobby on Level 300 to pick up your ToxExpo™ Directory and registration badge. If you already have your registration badge and CE course tickets, there is no need to stand in a registration line. Simply stop by the handout table in the registration area and present your badge to obtain the other registration materials (i.e., The Toxicologist on CD-ROM, the ToxExpo™ Directory and other supplementary materials).

SOT members and non-members are invited to register for the 2009 SOT Annual
Meeting using SOTs On-Line
Registration System. The system is designed for those who will be paying
their registration fee by credit card and who have access to the Internet.

* Non-SOT members consider applying for membership by the January 1, 2009, application deadline.
Take note, if you are not currently a member of the Society, you could enjoy discounted registration rates by applying on-line for membership.
To ensure you are able to register at the SOT member rate, you will be notified of your acceptance after mid-February, when the membership committee has finalized their review. However, you have the option to register for the Annual Meeting now at the non-member rate or wait until the week of the 20 of February to register at the Final Registration member rate and realize substantial savings. Forms will be date-stamped as they arrive. This is your
date of registration. Faxes will be accepted by SOT Headquarters
only if a credit card number is clearly listed in the appropriate
area.
NOTE: To prevent double-billing, if you are registering
by fax, DO NOT mail your original registration form. SOT
needs only one copy for processing. All mailed and faxed
registration forms will be processed on-line by SOT staff.

Registration Guidelines
Payment: Registration Forms will be returned if not accompanied by one of the following methods of payment:
- Check (company or personal); U.S. Currency only. Please list all registrants on check memo or check stub.
- Government Purchase Order. (Check must be drawn from the U.S. Department of Treasury)
- Money Order.
- Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Diner's Club, or American Express
Registration Deadlines:
- Early Bird Registration until January 30, 2009
- Standard Registration until February 20, 2009
- Final Registration is after February 20, 2009
DO NOT mail your Registration Form to SOT if it will arrive after March 10, 2009. SOT will accept faxed and mailed Annual Meeting Registrations until March 10. After March 10, registrations not processed on-line will only be accepted on-site at the Annual Meeting. The on-line registration system will be open throughout the meeting and if you register on-line after March 10, 2009, you can easily pick up your badge at the "Badge Pick Only" registration counter.
One-day Registration:
There is no reduced fee for one-day registration.
Tickets:
Tickets for Continuing Education courses and other events may be required. These tickets will be issued with your meeting badge. You must be registered for the meeting in order to participate in
a Continuing Education course or a special event.
Confirmation:
You will be mailed a registration confirmation, name badge and Continuing Education
and/or event ticket(s) before the meeting if your Registration Form is received
by February 20, 2009. If registration is required after February 20, you can
pick up your badge and tickets at the registration counters on-site.
CANCELLATION REFUND POLICY:
All requests for cancellations and/or refunds must be received in writing to SOT Headquarters by February 20, 2009. These refunds will be processed, less a $50 fee, following the Annual Meeting. Refund requests received after February 20, 2009, will not be processed.
Annual Meeting Registration Includes:
- Awards Ceremony, Sunday, March 15 from 5:15 PM–6:30 PM.
- Welcoming Reception, Sunday, March 15 from 6:30 PM–7:30 PM.
- Plenary Opening Lecture, Monday, March 16 from 8:00 AM–9:00 AM.
- All Scientific Sessions 9:15 AM, Monday, March 16 through 12:00 NOON, and 9:00 AM–11:45 AM Tuesday, March 17 through Thursday, March 19.
- ToxExpo™ Exhibit Hall, 9:15 AM–4:30 PM Monday, March 16; 8:30 AM–4:30 PM Tuesday, March 17 and Wednesday, March 18.
Participants are also encouraged to register for the Continuing Education Courses. These are available during three time intervals on Sunday, March 15: the Sunrise Mini-Course is from 7:00 AM–7:45 AM, morning courses are 8:15 AM–12:00 NOON, and afternoon courses are from 1:15 PM–5:00 PM.
Guest Registration
Guest (non-scientist) registration is not available on-line. Guests must register
by mail or fax on the same form as the person they are accompanying. If the
person they are accompanying is already registered, they must use the Guest
Registration Form and mail or fax it to SOT Headquarters along with a copy of the
confirmation of the person they are accompanying. Guests are welcome to attend
the Welcoming Reception, but will not have access to the scientific sessions
or the Exhibit Hall. Reminder: Children under the age of 15 are not permitted
in the Exhibit Hall.
The SOT Guest Hospitality Center provides guest participants with a place to
meet and socialize with other guests. The Center will be open Sunday through
Thursday and information on local attractions, rental cars, and tours will
be available there.
Guests must be registered for the Annual Meeting to access the Hospitality
Center.
Continuing Education Course Registration
For your convenience, you can register for Continuing Education Courses at
the same time as registering for
the Annual Meeting. If you have already registered for the Annual Meeting
you will have to use the Mail or Fax Registration
Form to registered for Continuing Education Courses.
