File Transfer: Using the Member Portal (FTP
site)
The Portal is a large file transfer system between SOT headquarters staff
and members. The FTP folders are a temporary storage location and the
recipient should remove files immediately after receiving them. Any files
left in the FTP folder longer then 30 days will be discarded.

We
welcome educators, students, scientists to use our logos to link
to us from your site. Please choose from the logos below for your
Web use, and e-mail us with notification of your intended use
of our logo SOT Headquarters.
If you need any of these logos for print uses, please request
them from SOT Headquarters.
How
to copy images: In your browser window (Netscape Navigator
or Microsoft Internet Explorer), place the cursor above the image
that you want to copy. If you are using a PC or UNIX-based system,
click and hold down the right mouse button. On a Mac, hold down
the single mouse button. A small pop-up menu will appear, offering
you a "save as" or "download image" option to save a copy of the
image to your local hard drive.

Use this password retrieval to submit a
request to have your Membership ID e-mailed to you.

your Member Profile to make changes to your record.

Corrections
to the membership information made before July 1 are included
in the next directory. Please go to the Membership
Profile and verify that your information is now current. Members
can use the Membership
Directory On-line to check for current addresses for other
members.

How do I have full access to the SOT Web site? <back

To view all
of the pages, you need to login as a member. The web site accepts
member login (last name) and password (member ID) from the home
page. If you automatically enter your member ID upon entering
the site, you will have access to the entire site.
Otherwise,
at the point you want to view a restricted page, your member
identification
will be requested. After it is entered and accepted, you will
automatically access the content you selected.

Why do I have to keep logging in everytime I go to a different

This site
requires that your browser support "cookies" technology.
If you have your browser configured to not accept cookies, you
will have to re-login for every member's only page. Also, every
time you close your browser and re-open it, you will have to re-login.

No, membership
must be applied for separately. Now is a good time for you to
apply and then you'll be eligible for student awards and other
student benefits.

What is my Toxicological Sciences (ToxSci) subscription

There is no
subscription number through Oxford University Press. SOT members
access their site via the SOT member ID. If you want to reach
the on-line version of ToxSci, log in to the SOT Web site as a
member (using your last name and password) and follow the directions
below.

How do I find the ToxSci Web site? <back

After logging
in to the SOT Web site, select the ToxSci menu option on the left
navigation bar, under Access Information. You will also find a
link to ToxSci
on the publications page.

Do members who were members when Toxicology and Applied
Pharmacology (TAP) was an official SOT journal have access to that journal on-line? <back

No, the on-line version of TAP only is available to those who have a subscription or license agreement with Elsevier, the publisher.

Why am I not receiving my SOT journal by mail? <back

If you paid
$135 for this year’s dues, your
membership includes electronic subscription to ToxSci but
not the printed version.
If your membership level included print the journal, we may
not have your correct address. See the next response.
11. How do I make changes to
my address for journal subscription? <back

Log unto SOT's
Web site, Membership option in the left navigation bar under Inside
SOT. Or use this direct link to Member
Profile. Updating the SOT member database is all that is needed
to update your address for journal subscription.
