Toxicological Sciences publishes
research articles 12 times a year that are broadly relevant to
assessing
the potential adverse health effects resulting from exposure of
human or animals to chemicals, drugs, natural products, or synthetic
materials. Manuscripts are published in all areas of toxicology,
both descriptive and mechanistic, as well as interpretive or
theoretical
investigations that elucidate the risk assessment implications
of exposure to toxic agents alone or in combination. Studies
may involve
experimental animals or human subjects, or they may focus on in
vitro methods or alternatives to the use of experimental animals.
Other articles include historical topics, contemporary issues
in
toxicology, scientific and regulatory reviews, and international
perspectives.
Since January 1999, Toxicological Sciences is published
by Oxford University Press and these issues are available on-line
to members. Archival versions of the journal previous to 1999, when it was published by Academic Press, also can be accessed on-line.

The Toxicologist
The Toxicologist is
an official publication of the Society of Toxicology and contains
the abstracts of the SOT Annual Meeting. Abstracts
are from symposia, platform, poster/discussion, workshop, roundtable,
poster and continuing education sessions at each SOT Annual Meeting.
The Toxicologist is published as a supplement of Toxicological
Sciences, the SOT official journal.
Members
receive a complimentary copy of the current year’s
abstract volume, The Toxicologist, non-members can purchase
a copy for $45 plus $5 postage and handling in the USA and $10
for overseas
shipments. Members and non-members can purchase a copy of a previous
year’s The Toxicologist for $45 plus $5 postage
and handling in the USA and $10 for overseas shipments.
