Awards and Travel Funding
Travel Funding for Graduate Student Representatives
Each Graduate Student Leadership Committee (GSLC) representative is strongly encouraged to attend the Annual Meeting, and is eligible for travel funding support to do so. Each RC/SIG/SS component group has agreed to provide $350 to their student representative to travel to the Annual Meeting. SOT provides matching funds of $350, for a total of $700 available to each representative. The GSLC Chair and Subcommittee Chairs on the Executive Board will receive $700 travel funding directly from SOT, as they do not hold component group positions.

Student Awards
SOT student members are eligible for many awards sponsored by SOT, Regional Chapters, Special Interest Groups, and Specialty Sections. Some of these awards are funded by SOT Endowment Funds. Deadlines vary by Award.
Outstanding Graduate Student Leadership Committee Award—Sponsored by GSLC
The GSLC’s success is the result of hard work from each graduate student representative. To recognize the contribution of graduate student representatives who go beyond their expected duties, proactively identify student needs, and use innovative methods to improve students experience in SOT, the GSLC established the Outstanding Leadership Award. We encourage all Graduate Committee representatives who have performed above and beyond the call of duty to nominate themselves for this award.
