Who We Are
- The SOT Postdoctoral Assembly (PDA) was formed to address a broad scope of issues relating to postdoctoral activities in the Society.
- Current SOT postdoctoral members are automatically part of the SOT-PDA. You will be on the PDA roster if you identified yourself as a postdoctoral fellow when you submitted your membership application, registered for the annual meeting or have
"postdoc" in your title in your SOT member profile. Otherwise please e-mail Betty Eidemiller to be included in PDA communications.
- The SOT Postdoctoral Task Force was created by Council in response to a proposal by the Student Advisory Committee (SAC) in 2004. SAC recognized the unique interests of postdocs. The Postdoctoral Assembly Board became a formal SOT Committee in 2005–2006. Development of this web section, activities, and an electronic group demonstrated the need for a designated SOT group, and the Postdoctoral Assembly was created as a standing leadership group the following year.
