Grants and Funding

SOT has developed and funds some programs designed to foster collaboration and the exchange of ideas between researchers across the globe. Please note that SOT does not directly fund research projects.

To help aid our members hoping to secure support for toxicological research, SOT has compiled a listing of agencies, organizations, and institutions that provide research funding.

If you know of a research funding opportunity, please share it with us via email or through our online Research Funding Community.

Global Senior Scholar Exchange Program
The SOT Global Senior Scholar Exchange Program aims to increase toxicology capacity in developing countries by providing professional opportunities for scientists through relationships supported by SOT. The program involves a senior-level scientist from a developing country visiting a senior-level scientist with an established toxicology program and the SOT Annual Meeting and ToxExpo to gain insight into toxicology research programs. The host senior scientist returns the visit to offer further advice and guidance to the developing toxicology program.
ToxScholar Outreach Grants
This program supports the spread of toxicological awareness to undergraduate students by providing funding for toxicologists to visit and make presentations at universities and colleges around the world. Both domestic and international grants are available.
