Ancillary Meetings

All requests for ancillary meetings must be approved by SOT Headquarters. Submit your request now to reserve a meeting room, please complete the Ancillary Meeting Form online. Ancillary functions may only be hosted by SOT Affiliates, Exhibitors, Supporters, or organizations otherwise associated with SOT. All ancillary functions are held outside of the convention center in nearby hotels. The deadline for events to be included in the Annual Meeting Calendar of the Printed Program has passed, events may still be included in the Mobile App.

If your organization plans on holding an off property event, please let Amy Willis know by February 9, 2016. The Society would like to be able to provide a listing of all SOT-related events to the city bureau and INA Security. This information is helpful in ensuring that everyone in New Orleans related to the convention is well informed.

Hospitality Suites at Hotels

Many companies/organizations enjoy hosting hospitality suites during the SOT Annual Meeting. In order to facilitate your needs, please contact Jay Pierce at Connections Housing to discuss the available suite options.

* Hotels are not permitted to book meeting space without the authorization from SOT.

After you have received your meeting room assignment, the hotel Convention Service Manager will be able to discuss food and beverage and audio visual equipment requests. All coordination for your event should be done between the hotel Convention Service Manager and the Ancillary Function Organizer.

The very foundation of the Society is to create a safer, healthier world by advancing the science of toxicology. To this end, the Society reserves the right to deny an Ancillary Meeting request from any organization whose goals, or past actions are deemed counterproductive to those of the Society of Toxicology.

Satellite Meetings

Each year, SOT endorses several Satellite Meetings that are held in conjunction with the Annual Meeting. Satellite Meetings are organized around scientific topics related to toxicology and are scheduled at the end of the Society’s program. The 2016 Satellite Meetings will be held in and around the New Orleans area. Proposals for a Satellite Meeting should be sent by email to Heidi Prange to the attention of John B. Morris, SOT Vice President and Scientific Program Committee Chair.

Requests approved by January 4, 2016, will be published in the Program. All requests must be received by January 19, 2016.
