SESOT Fall 2015 Meeting

Online Registration

To take advantage of the discounted early registration fees, please register by October 7, 2015. After this date, including on-site, registration for the meeting will be available at a moderately higher rate. A dinner will be included with registration. Registrants who plan to bring a guest to the dinner will need to pay an additional fee of $25.

Abstract Submission

Submit your abstracts for poster and oral presentations to Dr. Marie Bourgeois. Deadline: October 7, 2015. There is no restriction on abstract format apart from indicating Poster or Oral Platform, Graduate and Postdoc. Student travel funding is available on a first come, first serve basis.

For members interested in K12 Outreach

The National NOBCChE STEM Weekend event will be held on September 24-26, 2015 at the Renaissance Hotel at Sea World in Orlando, FL. The speaker line-up is now live on www.nobccheSTEMwkd.com featuring Olympic medalist, Dr. Judi Brown-Clarke.

Featured STEM Festival exhibitors will include the Orlando Science Center and the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory.

Student participation is free and registration is open on a first-come, first-serve basis. Slots are beginning to fill up and space is limited. Registration deadline is now Friday, August 21.

Discount hotel rates will close on Tuesday, August 18. Click here to reserve your hotel room today.

Activities will include:

  • Science Bowl featuring 4-person teams from the local area and around the nation competing for awards and recognition. Click here to register a team.
  • Stem Festival featuring hands-on science activities for students and the general public to explore Science, Engineering and Math.
  • Science Fair for middle and high school students.¬† Projects previously submitted to other fairs are welcome. 5th graders can participate as well. Click here to register a science fair project.
  • College Fair and Scholarship Panel discussions

Tentatively, the program on the 7th will start at around 1:00 pm; the program on the 8th will start at around 8:30 am and it will conclude around noon. In addition to exciting platform and poster presentations by students and postdocs, the program will include keynote presentations by invited speakers on each day. Detailed meeting agenda will be posted at a later date.
