The 2010 MRC-SOT Spring Meeting was held on Friday, May 21 at the Marriott Resort in Lincolnshire, IL. The day-long meeting focused on the theme “The Central Nervous System as a Target of Toxic Injury.” The program featured an outstanding panel of speakers from both academia and industry. Approximately 70 people from IL, WI and IN attended the meeting and feedback regarding the program has been extremely positive. The Executive Committee and MRC membership express our sincere thanks to all of our sponsors including: Abbott Laboratories, Covance, Midwestern University Department of Pharmacology, Reid Patterson Consulting, and Robin Guy Consulting for their generous support. Also special thanks to Robin Guy, Vicki Sears and Peter Lamar for logistical support.

The 2010 Fall Meeting has been tentatively scheduled for Friday, November 12 at Eli Lilly Company, in Indianapolis. Details regarding the meeting and program will be posted soon.

Award Title	Midwest RC Kenneth P. DuBois Award
Award Description	Candidates should have worked for most of his/her career in the midwest. Candidates should currently be active in the field of Toxicology. Candidates must have demonstrated a sustained and high level of activity in Toxicology. Winner receives an engraved plaque and an honorarium. Contact: Matthew Schroeder

Award Title	Midwest RC Victor A. Drill Award
Award Description	The student must present a poster at the Spring Midwest Regional Chapter meeting. Winner Receives: First place receives up to $1500 in expenses paid to the SOT Annual Meeting. Second place receives $100 towards a Toxicology textbook. Contact: Matthew Schroeder

Award Title	Midwest RC Young Investigator Award
Award Description	The student must submit a research proposal, one letter of reference, and application. Winner presents a poster at the Spring 2011 meeting.
