Award Descriptions

Award Title National Capital RC  Bern Schwetz Student Travel Award 
Award Description

Full-time enrollment in graduate or post-graduate program within NCAC-SOT region. Research abstract accepted for 2010 SOT Annual Meeting. Must not be receiving a concurrent travel award from national SOT or any of the Specialty Sections.

Additional Requirements:

Application:
1. Send copy of abstract submitted for SOT Annual Meeting.
2. A confirmation that the abstract was accepted.
3. Verification that applicant is full-time student or full-time postdoctoral research associate as a letter (or 2 letters) that bear(s) the signature of the student and the signature of their mentor (who is a member of SOT and/or NCAC-SOT).
4. Must be a student member of NCAC-SOT.

Winner Receives: Cash awards for pre-doctoral and for postdoctoral students.

Award Title National Capital RC  Student Poster Award—NCAC Spring Symposium 
Award Description

1) Full-time enrollment in graduate or post-graduate program within the NCAC-SOT region.
2) Must be a student member of NCAC-SOT.
3) Abstract must be submitted and poster presented at the Spring NCAC Symposium.

Additional Requirements:

Verification that applicant is a full-time student or full-time postdoctoral research associate as a letter (or 2 letters) that bear the signature of the student and the signature of their mentor

Winner Receives: Cash awards for pre-doctoral and postdoctoral students.
