Outreach
The K-12 Committee of
the Northland Chapter of the Society of Toxicology has been conducting
outreach to teachers and students since 1999. Outreach
over the past few years has been summarized in a poster presented at the
2004 Society of Toxicology Annual Meeting in Baltimore, Maryland.
As part of this outreach, the committee promotes the use of a seed bioassay
that illustrates dose-response relationships. A slide show on classroom resources
for toxicology
concepts has also been created by the chapter and used for teacher education.
