Comparative and Veterinary SS Student Award
Award Description
CVSS is dedicated to supporting research in the area of in vivo toxicology. This area of investigation includes, among others, veterinary, comparative, nutritional, environmental, and medical disciplines, and explores whole animal or other integrated system responses, as well as the development of animal models. Preference will be given to those submissions that support the mission of CVSS.
First ($500) and second ($300) prizes, each including an award plaque, will be based on the best posters. Any current graduate student whose abstract has been accepted by SOT for presentation at the 2008 Annual Meeting may apply by submitting the following by November 30, 2007: 1) a copy of the abstract, 2) a brief discussion of the significance of the findings, and 3) a letter of support from their major advisor describing the role of the student in the study. Eligible applicants will be promptly notified. Electronic submission (Powerpoint file preferred but other standard formats acceptable) of the full poster will be required by February 29, 2008. First and second place winners will be notified prior to the Annual Meeting. Presentation of the monetary awards and plaques will be made at the CVSS reception.
