Membership Fees
Full and Associate Membership—The membership
fees are $136 for full and associate members in the United States, Canada,
and for international members. Individuals wishing to receive a print
version of Toxicological Sciences with their membership will
pay an additional $23 surcharge in the United States and $44 for the
rest of the world.
Postdoctoral Membership—The
membership fee for a postdoctoral member is $35. Postdoctoral members
may subscribe to the electronic version of Toxicological Sciences for
$51 or subscribe to both electronic and print versions for $53 in the
United States and $74 for the rest of the world. Postdoctoral members
receive one Specialty Section and one Special Interest Group membership without
charge and may join additional Specialty Sections and Special Interest
Groups for $15 each per year.
Graduate Student Membership—The membership
fee for a graduate student is $20. Students may subscribe
to the electronic version of Toxicological Sciences for $51
or subscribe to both electronic and print versions for $53 in the United
States and $74 for the rest of the world. Student members receive one
Specialty Section and one Special Interest Group membership without
charge
and may join additional Specialty Sections and Special Interest Groups
for $15 each per year.
Retired Membership—A Full or Associate member of the Society who has retired from active work in toxicology may be accorded retired status upon approval of Council. Retired members do not pay dues.
Eligible members desiring Retired member status shall apply to Council in writing through the Executive Director’s office. Members accorded “retired status” shall be relieved of the payment of their dues not used for subscription to a Society journal; or of their entire dues if they do not wish to continue receiving a journal that was included with the dues, but shall retain their privileges of membership.
Retired members may subscribe to the electronic version of Toxicological Sciences
for $51 or subscribe to both electronic and print versions for $70
in the United States and $85 for the rest of the world.
Emeritus Membership—A Full or Associate member of the Society who has maintained membership continuously for 40 years will become an Emeritus member unless he or she declines. Emeritus members shall retain their privileges of membership, will not pay dues, and will receive the journal electronically.
Dues Waiver Request—Any SOT member in good standing
whose employment is temporarily interrupted may apply for a waiver of
dues for a period of up to one year. A dues waiver may be renewed for
an additional year upon reapplication. Eligible members desiring a waiver
of dues must submit a written request to the SOT Executive Director,
which includes a description of the most recent employment history. Requests
for dues waivers will be maintained confidentially and will be individually
reviewed by the Membership Committee for recommendation to Council. Members
granted dues waivers will continue to receive the SOT newsletter, journal,
and will be permitted to submit abstracts and register for the Annual
Meeting at the membership rate.
