Call for 2013 Annual Meeting Proposal Submissions
You are invited to a proposal for consideration for the Society of Toxicology's 52nd Annual Meeting. The record number of presentations that will be presented during the 2012 Annual Meeting continues to underscore the growth of the meeting, and the unparalleled access to timely topics relative to toxicology. Therefore, we are excited to invite you to develop sessions for consideration for the 2013 Annual Meeting that will take place March 10–14, 2013, in San Antonio, Texas.
Provided below are details of the themes as developed by the Scientific Program and Continuing Education Committees recently. Access to the full theme descriptions is available online. You are encouraged to consider contributing proposals that align to these themes or target areas although all topics relevant to toxicology will be considered on their merits.
- Application of Systems Biology to Toxicology
- Biomarkers for Exposure Assessment, Safety Evaluation, and Translational Medicine
- Effects of Nanomaterials on Biological Systems
- Molecular Basis of Genetic Variability and Susceptibility to Toxicants
- Regulatory Science: Advancing New Approaches for Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment
CE Target Areas
- Developmental Origins of Health and Disease (DOHaD)
- Molecular Imaging
- Personalized Toxicology
While the Society is actively soliciting proposals for the themes, or target areas, please note that all proposal submissions will be reviewed under the current criteria for their timeliness and relevance to the field of toxicology and given equal consideration. The proposal submission site is now open, and is accessible online.
The SOT Scientific Program and Continuing Education Committees place great value on the contributions of Specialty Sections and Special Interest Groups (SS/SIGs) in the preparation of high quality proposals for sessions at the SOT Annual Meetings. For this reason, it should be noted that sponsorship and endorsements sought for proposals will continue to be made directly to the SS/SIG(s) by the session organizer prior to submission.
