Inhalation and Respiratory SS Career Achievement Award
Deadline: January 15
An engraved plaque will be awarded to a senior investigator whose body of work represents an outstanding achievement in respiratory/inhalation toxicology. The nomination should include a letter discussing the individual’s work in advancing the field and should specifically address the following four areas: breadth and depth of scientific contributions, influence in the education/training/mentorship of young scientists in the field, leadership and service to the field, and influence on regulatory/public health decisions. A curriculum vitae
and bibliography should also be included; seconding letters are helpful. Nominations of unsuccessful candidates will be considered for two additional years unless the nomination is withdrawn by the sponsor. Although preference will be given to Specialty Section and SOT members at large, the primary criteria for this award will be the importance of the investigator’s contribution to the field of inhalation and respiratory toxicology.
