2019 Event App and a 30th Anniversary!
The start of the SOT 58th Annual Meeting and ToxExpo will soon be upon us, and I’m sure many of you—myself included—are busy finalizing your schedules and plans for your time in Baltimore. To help in these activities, I recommend you download the 2019 Event App, which contains all the necessary details related to the Annual Meeting. The app includes the full meeting schedule, abstracts, speaker information, ToxExpo floor map and exhibitor list, venue maps, and more. Since SOT is reducing its environmental footprint by producing only digital publications this year (available as PDFs on the ePubs and App page), the Event App will serve as your on-site guide to the meeting, especially since you can build a custom schedule, including syncing it to the Online Planner on the Program Details page by logging in with your SOT credentials.
I’d also like to take a moment recognize the 30th anniversary of the Undergraduate Education Program, which is being celebrated this year. For 30 years, the Committee on Diversity Initiatives (CDI) has been welcoming, mentoring, and educating undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds in all things toxicology. Hundreds of students have participated in the Undergraduate Education Program during the SOT Annual Meeting, and many of them have gone on to successful, rewarding careers in toxicology and other sciences. I invite you to join the CDI in celebrating the program’s success during the CDI Reunion on Saturday, March 9—all are welcome to attend!
