Message from the Scientific Program Committee

Platform and Poster Session Notes
February 2019

Thousands of presenters are putting finishing touches on their scripts, slideshows, and posters for the SOT 58th Annual Meeting and ToxExpo, which will include more than 100 Featured and Scientific Sessions. To peruse the schedule of sessions, speakers, and abstracts, download the 2019 Event App or scroll through the Program PDF.

To help foster the development of early career toxicologists, the Scientific Program Committee (SPC) has created three special Platform Sessions, all focused on a current scientific issue, in which all the presenters are graduate students or postdocs. These sessions are occurring on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday mornings and contain "SPC Highlights Emerging Scientists" in their titles. I encourage you to support these outstanding young scientists by attending some of these presentations.

Also, a reminder that this year's meeting will once again feature all-day Poster Sessions, with authors in attendance during one of four scheduled time blocks. The assigned time blocks are listed in the app, on the web, and in the Program PDF. Please note that no photography of posters is permitted without the express permission of the presenting author.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone in Baltimore.

Ronald N. Hines, MS, PhD, ATS
SOT Vice President and Scientific Program Committee Chairperson, 2018–2019
