PACIFIC NORTHWEST
    ASSOCIATION OF TOXICOLOGISTS
    REGIONAL CHAPTER

Welcome to the Society of Toxicology’s Pacific Northwest Association of Toxicologists (PANWAT)!

Welcome to our members, colleagues, and visitors! It is an honor to serve this dynamic and dedicated community of toxicologists in the Pacific Northwest region.

PANWAT is committed to advancing the science and practice of toxicology through collaboration, education, and outreach. This chapter is especially focused on the professional development of our student members and trainees. We strive to create a platform where professionals from academia, industry, government, and non-profit organizations can come together to share knowledge, discuss challenges, and foster innovative solutions in the field of toxicology.

Save the Date: PANWAT Regional Meeting

Our Annual PANWAT Regional Meeting will take place on September 20–21, 2026 in Portland, Oregon. Lodging and the mentoring event (day one) will be at The Royal Sonesta Portland Downtown and the conference will take place on day two at the nearby Portland Center. The theme of this year’s meeting is “Advances in Toxicology: Integrating Omics, Systems Biology, and Human-Relevant Models.” We invite you to join us to learn more about these tools and approaches and how integrating them can enhance our understanding of chemical impacts on our environment and health. The meeting will also be a great opportunity for students and postdocs to present their research, so stay tuned for information about abstract submissions!

Please mark your calendars and stay tuned for further details on our events web page.

A Special Thanks to Our Sponsors

PANWAT would like to extend our sincere appreciation to our sponsors. Your generous support is essential to the success of our events, especially our Annual Meeting! We look forward to your continued partnership at this year’s meeting. For sponsorship opportunities and inquiries, please contact our Treasurer, Josi Herron.

Thank you for being a part of PANWAT. Together, we can make a significant impact on the science of toxicology, support the development of new toxicologists, and contribute to the well-being of our communities and the environment.
