Hold the Date for the 2019 Annual MASOT Fall Meeting

2019 Fall Meeting Theme: Immuno-Oncology

The annual MASOT Fall Meeting will be held on Thursday, October 31 at the Sheraton Edison Hotel Raritan Center in Edison, New Jersey.

This year’s theme will be Immuno-Oncology.

The recipient of the MASOT 2019 Ambassador Award is James Klaunig, PhD, Fellow ATS, Fellow IATP (Indiana University, School of Public Health).

The Program Committee has worked to bring together an exciting agenda for the day so we hope that many of you can attend.

The current list of speakers for this event includes:

  • Dr. James Klaunig (Indiana University) – Chemical Carcinogenesis: Where have we been, Where are we now
  • Dr. Helen Haggerty (Bristol-Myers Squibb) – Unleashing the Immune System to Fight Cancer
  • Dr. Curtis Maier (GlaxoSmithKline) – Nonclinical Safety Assessment of Immuno-Oncology Therapies
  • Dr. Michael Leach (Pfizer) – A Data-Driven and Risk-Based Approach to First-in-Human (FIH) Dose Selection

In addition to the main scientific session, there will be an afternoon breakout session focused on the undergraduate students attending the meeting.

The agenda for this breakout session includes:

  • Dr. Kristian Fried (Colgate-Palmolive) – Introduction to Toxicology
  • Dr. Josh Gray (United States Coast Guard) – Opioid Toxicity
  • Dr. Lauren Aleksunes (Rutgers University) – Clinical Drug Toxicity
  • Danielle Kozlosky (Rutgers University) and Erin Huber (St. John’s University) – Pursuing Toxicology as a Career – From Internships to Graduate School
