Ohio Valley Chapter of the Society of Toxicology

Mission Statement

What is the Ohio Valley Chapter of the Society of Toxicology (OVSOT)?

OVSOT Overview

The OVSOT is one of 18 regional chapters of the Society of Toxicology (SOT). The membership is comprised of individuals with a professional interest in toxicology, including toxicologists, regulators, and students.

The objectives of the OVSOT are to:

  • Serve as the focal point for toxicological interest in the region of Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, and West Virginia;
  • Encourage interactions among toxicologists in government, industry, and academia;
  • Sponsor scientific and educational programs in toxicology.

Additionally, the OVSOT supports the Society of Toxicology Long-Range Priorities.

To accomplish these objectives, we invite nationally known experts for one or two scientific programs each year. These 1–1½ day meetings are designed to allow maximum participation from students as well as senior level scientists.

If you would like to become a member of the OVSOT please complete the membership form which can be found in the Join/Membership page. Annual dues are $25 for members; $15 for post-doctoral fellows; and $10 for graduate students. There is no fee for undergraduate students. You do not have to be a member of the SOT to become a member of the OVSOT.
