The North Carolina Chapter of the Society of Toxicology (NCSOT)

Background

Serving as a local focal point, The North Carolina Chapter of the Society of Toxicology (NCSOT) provides opportunities for toxicologists in the state to meet, present research, and discuss topics in the field and fosters collaborations. Additionally, NCSOT supports toxicology education at all levels from K–12 to graduate students and postdoctoral fellows and recognizes and provides awards for research at the graduate and postdoctoral level.

NCSOT and its bylaws were officially approved by the council of the Society of Toxicology at the 1981 Annual Meeting. It is governed by an elected Executive Committee consisting of five officers, two councilors, one postdoctoral representative, a postdoctoral representative-elect, and one graduate student representative, and a graduate student representative-elect.
