Student Resources Membership As a graduate student member of the BTSS you will have the opportunity to network with professionals in the field of toxicology and compete for poster prizes. The benefits of being involved with BTSS are not limited to students thinking about industry careers.As a Student member of SOT, your first specialty section membership is FREE and you can sign up at any time through the SOT website. Visit the Members page on the SOT website for more information. Awards The Biotechnology Specialty Section issues an Outstanding Graduate Student Award and Outstanding Postdoctoral Award for research presented at the annual meeting in addition to the Best Publication Award for the general membership. Applications for these awards are due in January each year, and the awards are all presented at the annual meeting. In addition to receiving a plaque, award recipients receive a cash prize. Graduate Student Leadership Council (GSLC) The GSLC sponsors a number of programs and events at the SOT national meeting. These programs, described below, are excellent opportunities to network.
