Mission

The mission of the Dermal Toxicology Specialty Section is to advance the science and application of dermal toxicology by fostering collaboration, knowledge exchange, and professional development among scientists studying skin exposure, dermal absorption, skin biology, and dermal risk assessment. The section promotes interdisciplinary dialogue among researchers, regulators, and industry professionals working to understand and assess the safety of chemicals, pharmaceuticals, consumer products, and environmental agents affecting the skin.

Vision

The Dermal Toxicology Specialty Section seeks to provide a scientific forum dedicated to advancing innovative research, methodologies, and regulatory science related to dermal exposure and skin health.

Through collaboration, education, and mentorship, DTSS aims to support the development of future leaders in dermal toxicology and to promote science that improves public health and safety.
