Registration for the SOT Annual Meeting and ToxExpo is completely free for undergraduate students, offering full access to all included meeting sessions and events. To help you get the most out of your experience, SOT hosts dedicated programs tailored specifically for undergraduates. If you need financial support to attend, we encourage you to apply for our specialized funding opportunities, including the SOT Undergraduate Research Award for students who are submitting an abstract for the Annual Meeting and the Undergraduate Development Program Student Travel Award for students interested in toxicology but who aren’t submitting an abstract. Undergraduate Education Program
Sunday, March 14, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
This engaging, daylong program offers all registered undergraduates a comprehensive introduction to a wide range of toxicological disciplines. The schedule features three scientific presentations highlighting diverse research areas, along with an interactive case study where students can practice analyzing and interpreting real data. Participants will connect directly with graduate students and academic program directors to gain advice on navigating the application process, evaluating graduate programs, and maximizing the graduate school experience. In addition to small-group networking with SOT members across various employment sectors, students enjoy dedicated open time to meet face-to-face with graduate program directors and representatives from SOT Special Interest Groups (SIGs) to explore the wide range of career pathways in the field.

Undergraduate Development Program
Saturday, March 13–Monday, March 15
Recipients of the Undergraduate Development Program Student Travel Awards and Advisor Travel Awards participate in a concentrated three-day program designed to explore toxicology and biomedical research careers. The program kicks off Saturday evening with mentoring group networking, an introduction to toxicology, and the Undergraduate Development Program Reunion celebrating current and past participants. On Sunday, students and advisors engage in the all-day Undergraduate Education Program, followed by a Monday schedule filled with Scientific Sessions, poster sessions, and the In Vitro Toxicology Lecture and Luncheon for Students. The program concludes with a dedicated wrap-up session, providing participants with valuable opportunities to network with toxicologists and map out future paths in the biomedical sciences.

Opportunities for Undergraduates
Remember that undergraduate students receive free registration to the SOT Annual Meeting and ToxExpo by sending a completed Registration Form and copy of their student ID to the SOT Registration Department. Undergraduates also are eligible for many awards that recognize research and provide travel support, such as the SOT Undergraduate Research Award or Undergraduate Development Program Student Travel Award.
Student/Postdoctoral Scholar Mixer

Networking
Hosted by the Graduate Student Leadership Committee, this is an opportunity for all students and postdoctoral scholars to gather, meet new colleagues, learn about being involved in SOT, and reestablish relationships at the beginning of the meeting. Tickets are obtained at no cost by selecting the Mixer as an add-on event while registering for the Annual Meeting. A meeting badge and Mixer registration are required to attend. Complimentary refreshments and a cash bar will be available.

Career Advancement
This informal session for all undergraduate students attending the SOT Annual Meeting, including SOT undergraduate travel awardees, is hosted by the Initiatives for Development and Engagement Committee. Students will connect with peers and learn first-hand from graduate students about the graduate school experience, as well as gain a better understanding of the opportunities offered by SOT. This session includes free lunch.
In Vitro Toxicology Lecture and Luncheon for Students

Career Advancement
The goal of the In Vitro Toxicology Lecture series is to feature important research using alternative techniques to study basic mechanisms and to develop test methods aimed at replacing animal use whenever feasible. Undergraduate students, graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, and recipients of Colgate-Palmolive awards are among the guests at this event, which includes table group discussions of questions at the forefront of toxicology. Students reserve a place by selecting this Add-on Event on the Registration Form; tickets are required and are $10.
