Notes from the Scientific Program Committee (SPC)

The abstract submission period is open until October 18, 2019, at 11:59 pm (EDT). Each year, more than 2,500 abstracts are presented during the SOT meeting. As you prepare to submit your 2020 abstract, I encourage you to review the information on the “Abstracts” web page, which details ways to optimize your submission and offers tips for developing a strong proposal.

As you prepare your abstract, take some time to review the various awards offered by SOT, the SOT Endowment Fund, and the SOT Component Groups, as many of them provide travel support for individuals presenting research during the Annual Meeting. Note that the earliest award deadline is October 9—before the abstract submission deadline—so plan accordingly.

The SPC looks forward to reviewing your abstract submissions.
