Childcare Services

SOT has contracted with KiddieCorp to provide childcare during the 64th Annual Meeting and ToxExpo. KiddieCorp is a premier provider of children’s program services during events, providing services to conventions, trade shows, and special events for 38 years. The program will provide care for children aged 6 months through 12 years old.

The cost for the childcare program is $25.00 per hour, per child. Children must be registered for a minimum of two consecutive hours per child for each day enrolled. You also can enroll your child(ren) for a half day ($90.00 per child) or full day ($175.00 per child).

The enrollment deadline has been extended to February 17, 2025. Please note that the number of advance enrollment reservations helps determine whether there is a need for this childcare program.

Also, registrants are allowed to bring children under full parental/guardian control into the Scientific Sessions and the ToxExpo Exhibit Hall. For more on the SOT child policy, view the SOT Annual Meeting Policies.

First-Aid and Emergency Services

If an emergency should occur while at the Orange County Convention Center, please call 911. The convention center has white house phones located throughout the center that can be used to call the Security Command Post that will dispatch you to 911. The Security Command Post, staffed 24/7, also can be reached at 407.685.9828.

A first-aid room is located near SOT Registration in the West A Lobby and will be open each day of the meeting.

Orlando Health

The Orlando Health Virtual Care Center, situated within the Orange County Convention Center, offers various health solutions for attendees. Located on Level II of the West Concourse near the Visit Orlando Welcome Center, the center is staffed by an Orlando Health team member who can assess the needs of visitors. If medical care is required, the team member can facilitate a connection with a medical provider through a virtual visit in a private room. If medical attention is required outside of posted hours, Orlando Health provides on-demand virtual visits to see a board-certified doctor 24/7 from any location.

Wellness Room/Nursing Mothers

The Orange County Convention Center has three Wellness Rooms, a private space for nursing mothers, prayer, or personal health needs. Two are located on the first level in the West B Lobby, and the other is in the West C Lobby on Level 2. Each room is labeled with an orange “Wellness Room” plaque and includes a lockable door with vacant/occupied labels, a comfortable chair, lamp, and access to electricity. Baby changing stations are located in the restrooms.

restrooms

The Orange County Convention Center provides ample bathrooms that are easily accessible from all major event spaces, exhibition halls, and meeting rooms. The convention center is committed to inclusivity and convenience, featuring family restrooms and ADA-compliant facilities to ensure comfort and accessibility for all guests. All-People/single-stall restrooms are available on Level 1 near Registration, Level 2 near Room W202, and Level 3 near Room W300.

During the SOT Annual Meeting and ToxExpo, the convention center space is considered private since SOT is leasing the space, meaning laws such as HB 1521 (i.e., the “Transgender Bathroom Ban“ bill) are not applicable since the law only pertains to state-owned facilities. Since the law went into effect in July 2023, there have been no police calls/reports countywide regarding this bill.
