Mears Transportation, Diamond Cab, and Quick Transportation are Orlando International Airport’s on-demand taxicab providers. Diamond Cab is the only one that serves airport customers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. GPS dispatch technology provides passengers with the exact fare to their destination. This technology also allows passengers to see a route map and to text their driver.
Transportation Network Companies (aka, ride-share services reserved through an app like Lyft and Uber) can service passengers at the airport. The designated pick-up areas are indicated by curbside signs and are located in the middle traffic lane on the ground level outside of the terminal.
Orlando boasts the largest rental car market in the world. Most major car rental companies are conveniently located at the airport, eliminating the need for a shuttle bus to pick up your rental car.
The area’s public bus system, LYNX, has routes servicing the Orange County Convention Center with connections to Orlando International Airport and downtown Orlando. You pay for your trip when you board; one ride costs $2.00, and an all-day pass costs $4.50. To plan your journey and obtain the latest fares, visit the LYNX Website.
Operating from 8:00 am to 10:30 pm daily, I-RIDE Trolley provides transportation to hundreds of Orlando destinations within the International Drive area, where the Orange County Convention Center is located. Passes are available at over 100 locations within the International Drive area and from the I-RIDE sales office—passes are not sold on the trolleys. The Red Line Trolley transportation route services International Drive, with trolleys arriving approximately every 20 minutes. The Green Line Trolley transportation route is the counterpart to the Red Line Trolley route; it begins service in the Major Boulevard business district, travels along Universal Boulevard, and then shadows the Red Line Trolley Route on South International Drive. Green Line trolleys arrive approximately every 60 minutes. View the I-RIDE Trolley Route Maps and fare information on the I-RIDE Trolley website.
