SOT Honors and Awards

Congratulations to the 2020 SOT award recipients. The awardees will be honored during the Awards Ceremony on March 15, 2020, during the SOT 59th Annual Meeting and ToxExpo. The citations for the 2020 SOT award recipients, as well as a list of the 2019 SOT Endowment Fund award recipients, also are available in the 2020 SOT Awards Program.

Supported Grants, Fellowships, and Awards

Global Senior Scholar Exchange Program (GSSEP)

The Global Senior Scholar Exchange Program (GSSEP) aims to increase the global impact of toxicology on human health and safety by working to strengthen toxicology programs and capacity at universities throughout the world. The SOT Global Senior Scholar Exchange Program provides funding support for senior-level scientists from countries recognized as part of the SOT Global Economy Support Programs to visit senior-level scientists with an established toxicology program to gain insight into toxicology research programs. The host senior scientist returns the visit to offer further advice and guidance to the supported toxicology program.

SOT/SOT Endowment Fund/IUTOX Travel Awards

Administered by IUTOX and supported by SOT and the SOT Endowment Fund, these travel awards are offered to individuals from countries where toxicology is underrepresented to support their attendance at the SOT Annual Meeting and ToxExpo.

Perry J. Gehring Diversity Student Travel Award

This award recognizes an undergraduate or graduate student from a racial/ethnic group underrepresented in toxicology who previously participated in the SOT Undergraduate Program and is presenting a paper at the upcoming SOT Annual Meeting.

Pfizer SOT Undergraduate Student Travel Awards

These awards recognize and support outstanding undergraduates who have not yet received their bachelor’s degrees and are presenting research at the SOT Annual Meeting.

Best Postdoctoral Publication Awards

The Best Postdoctoral Publication Awards will be presented during the Postdoctoral Assembly Luncheon as part of the SOT Annual Meeting and ToxExpo.
